Grahame Abberton BSc
As well as being a well-known identity in Toowoomba business circles, Grahame devotes significant time to the community including his work as a Rotarian and supporting local schools in their job readiness programs.
In Abbertons, Grahame has built a business that fosters customer service, recruitment excellence and a culture of partnering with business to offer advice rather than simply a transactional approach.
As a stalwart of the recruitment industry in Australia, Grahame has maintained active membership in Australia and New Zealand's peak recruitment body, the RCSA (Recruitment and Consulting Services Association) since 1996.
Mary Wells DipBus (JPQual)
Mary joined the Abbertons team as a Recruitment Consultant in 2013 following an extensive and distinguished career in administration and customer service.
Along with her significant career with the USQ Student Guild which included seven years as the Personal Assistant to the General Manager, Mary is also known for her dedication to the Australian Institute of Office Professionals (AIOP). Her voluntary roles there included terms as President of the Darling Downs Branch and on the AIOP Committee of Management.
Mary also holds a Diploma of Frontline Management and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and is currently studying a Double Diploma in Business Management and HR Management. Her practical experience, outgoing personality and drive assures Mary’s clients of the commitment they need to be successful in sourcing and securing the best talent available. Mary specialises in both temporary and permanent human resources needs. Mary is also a member of the RCSA.
Hazel, an active committee member of Women on the Move, has 20+ years’ service-oriented experience in human resources, executive support, customer service and hospitality roles. Hazel has 5 years’ experience as the Personnel Officer with PT Freeport McMoran Indonesia working from their Australian office and her additional experience as a Human Resources Officer in the hospitality industry included the opening of a 350 room property for which Hazel was involved in the full recruitment and induction process for staff up to Senior Middle Management level.
Hazel is experienced in sourcing, placing and follow-up of candidates placed into the workforce and has demonstrated her ability to communicate, negotiate and interact effectively through many mediums with a diverse range of people. Her knowledge with corporate sector representatives, professionals, trade qualified personnel, new graduates and school leavers is indicative of her abilities enabling her to be your specialist in your human resources requirements.
