During this time they have firmly established their reputation for providing excellent quality service in the Granite Belt region.YOUR NEW POSITIONThis full time, Monday to Friday, role of Heavy Duty Machinery Mechanic, will see you working predominantly on Agriculture machinery, specialising in most farming equipment, tractors, earthmoving machinery, trucks as well as fruit and vegetable packing and grading equipment.Working Monday to Friday with overtime and weekend work available, specifically at peak seasonal times, you will be responsible for undertaking the servicing, diagnostics and repairs Depending on skills and abilities there is opportunity for this to become a management position in line with company growth.YOUR DUTIESAssist with the supervision of day to day workshop operationsDiagnose faults and malfunctions to determine required repairs including engines, motors, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematicsUndertake numerous field service and workshop based mechanical repairs and servicing to various equipment and machinery Test mechanical products and equipment to ensure proper performance and complianceUse of laptop and portable based diagnostic equipment for fault findingRepair and replace damaged and worn partsRead, interpret and understand operating manuals, blueprints, sketches, manufacturer’s instructions and software to identify spare partsSource, order and purchase parts in liaison with the ownerAssist in preparing job cards for all work carried outTravel to properties to carry out emergency repairsSupervise daily activities, provide relevant training and support and of the Apprentice to enable successful completion of apprenticeshipAssist with point of sale items specifically in relation to spare partsEnsure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Assist with maintenance and stocktake on supplies inventories, tools and equipmentOvertime and Weekend work, specifically at peak seasonal timesYOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCERelevant Trade Qualifications and CertificatesAbility to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of heavy duty machinerySound mechanical and machinery knowledge, preferably in the field of Agriculture Competency with computers, diagnostic equipment and databasesPrevious experience in a similar role and supervising apprenticesCurrent C Class Open LicenceMR/HR and Forklift Licence advantageousPoint of Sale experience desirableTHE BENEFITSFamily Oriented BusinessSalary will be negotiated in line with skills and experienceCompany Ute provided for site jobsRelocation assistance may be available for the right candidateTo work in this community focused business, successful candidates will need to be physically fit and able to relate to customers with a friendly and enthusiastic approach. YOUR NEW POSITION

This full time, Monday to Friday, role of Heavy Duty Machinery Mechanic, will see you working predominantly on Agriculture machinery, specialising in most farming equipment, tractors, earthmoving machinery, trucks as well as fruit and vegetable packing and grading equipment.

Working Monday to Friday with overtime and weekend work available, specifically at peak seasonal times, you will be responsible for undertaking the servicing, diagnostics and repairs 

Depending on skills and abilities there is opportunity for this to become a management position in line with company growth.

YOUR DUTIES

  • Assist with the supervision of day to day workshop operations
  • Diagnose faults and malfunctions to determine required repairs including engines, motors, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics
  • Undertake numerous field service and workshop based mechanical repairs and servicing to various equipment and machinery 
  • Test mechanical products and equipment to ensure proper performance and compliance
  • Use of laptop and portable based diagnostic equipment for fault finding
  • Repair and replace damaged and worn parts
  • Read, interpret and understand operating manuals, blueprints, sketches, manufacturer’s instructions and software to identify spare parts
  • Source, order and purchase parts in liaison with the owner
  • Assist in preparing job cards for all work carried out
  • Travel to properties to carry out emergency repairs
  • Supervise daily activities, provide relevant training and support and of the Apprentice to enable successful completion of apprenticeship
  • Assist with point of sale items specifically in relation to spare parts
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety 
  • Assist with maintenance and stocktake on supplies inventories, tools and equipment
  • Overtime and Weekend work, specifically at peak seasonal times

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant Trade Qualifications and Certificates
  • Ability to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of heavy duty machinery
  • Sound mechanical and machinery knowledge, preferably in the field of Agriculture 
  • Competency with computers, diagnostic equipment and databases
  • Previous experience in a similar role and supervising apprentices
  • Current C Class Open Licence
  • MR/HR and Forklift Licence advantageous
  • Point of Sale experience desirable
