Our client specialises in conducting research and delivering improved seed genetics to farmers. Their staff develop, plant and collect data from multiple sites throughout Queensland, New South Wales and Northern Victoria in order to distribute a high quality seed product to their clients.The RoleThis permanent position is based in the Toowoomba region with travel required to sites throughout Queensland and New South Wales as well as through to Northern Victoria, assisting the Plant Research Trials team. Key responsibilities will include:Seed countingPlanting and weed control of trial sitesHarvestingPacking and threshing seedsAssisting in the nursery with pollinating of corn and sorghumGeneral farm workMachinery MaintenanceAbout YouYou will know how to use various farm machinery and equipment such as tractors and harvesters and can work in all weather conditions on all terrains. The Role

This permanent position is based in the Toowoomba region with travel required to sites throughout Queensland and New South Wales as well as through to Northern Victoria, assisting the Plant Research Trials team. 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Seed counting
  • Planting and weed control of trial sites
  • Harvesting
  • Packing and threshing seeds
  • Assisting in the nursery with pollinating of corn and sorghum
  • General farm work
  • Machinery Maintenance

About You

You will know how to use various farm machinery and equipment such as tractors and harvesters and can work in all weather conditions on all terrains. You will also have a minimum HR licence and have experience with electronic GPS.
