They have established their reputation for providing excellent quality service in the Granite Belt region and take pride on the provision of excellent customer service with a good old fashioned work ethic.YOUR NEW POSITIONYou will be responsible for undertaking the servicing, diagnostics and repairs predominantly on agriculture machinery, earthmoving machinery and trucks. Working Monday to Friday with overtime and weekend work available, specifically at peak seasonal times.YOUR DUTIESService and maintenance of vehicles and machinery, in house and onsiteDiagnose faults and malfunctionsRepair and replace damaged and worn partsRead, interpret and understand operating manuals, blueprints, sketches, manufacturer’s instructions and software to identify spare partsSource, order and purchase parts in liaison with the ownerAssist in preparing job cards for all work carried outTravel to properties to carry out emergency repairsAssist with point of sale items specifically in relation to spare partsEnsure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety Assist with maintenance and stocktake on supplies inventories, tools and equipmentUse of laptop and portable based diagnostic equipment for fault findingAssist with the supervision of day to day workshop operationsSupervise daily activities, provide relevant training and support and of the Apprentice to enable successful completion of apprenticeshipYOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCERelevant Trade Qualifications and CertificatesAbility to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of heavy duty machinerySound mechanical and machinery knowledge, preferably in the field of Agriculture Competency with computers, diagnostic equipment and databasesPrevious experience in a similar role and supervising apprenticesCurrent C Class Open LicenceMR/HR Licence advantageousPoint of Sale experience desirableTHE CULTURE AND LOCATIONBoasting a unique cool climate, clean country mountain air and beautiful countryside, Stanthorpe has an excellent wine industry and is renowned for its orchard fruits such as apples, peaches, apricots and strawberry farms. YOUR NEW POSITION

You will be responsible for undertaking the servicing, diagnostics and repairs predominantly on agriculture machinery, earthmoving machinery and trucks. Working Monday to Friday with overtime and weekend work available, specifically at peak seasonal times.

YOUR DUTIES

  • Service and maintenance of vehicles and machinery, in house and onsite
  • Diagnose faults and malfunctions
  • Repair and replace damaged and worn parts
  • Read, interpret and understand operating manuals, blueprints, sketches, manufacturer’s instructions and software to identify spare parts
  • Source, order and purchase parts in liaison with the owner
  • Assist in preparing job cards for all work carried out
  • Travel to properties to carry out emergency repairs
  • Assist with point of sale items specifically in relation to spare parts
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety 
  • Assist with maintenance and stocktake on supplies inventories, tools and equipment
  • Use of laptop and portable based diagnostic equipment for fault finding
  • Assist with the supervision of day to day workshop operations
  • Supervise daily activities, provide relevant training and support and of the Apprentice to enable successful completion of apprenticeship

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Relevant Trade Qualifications and Certificates
  • Ability to diagnose, repair and maintain a wide range of heavy duty machinery
  • Sound mechanical and machinery knowledge, preferably in the field of Agriculture 
  • Competency with computers, diagnostic equipment and databases
  • Previous experience in a similar role and supervising apprentices
  • Current C Class Open Licence
  • MR/HR Licence advantageous
  • Point of Sale experience desirable
