Abbertons’ New Digital Presence to Benefit Employers and Job-Seekers on the move!

Abbertons Human Resources has announced the release of their new digital presence which includes features making it easier for jobseekers to submit resumes, apply for positions and be kept up to date with the latest opportunities from their smart phones and tablet devices.  The digital presence includes:

  • A job board within the company Facebook Page.
  • New website with job board, resume submission feature, Job Alert feature, Integrated Facebook Photo Album.
  • Mobile Website allowing application with Linked-in profile.

Abbertons has recently launched a new website and mobile website that include the latest technology allowing job seekers to keep abreast of the current job opportunities.

As most mobile devices do not have capability to upload a resume the Abbertons mobile site includes the ability to: SMS or email the job to yourself as a reminder to look at it later and perhaps apply online.  The mobile site also includes the ability for those with a Linked-in profile to log in and apply directly with their linked-in profile via their mobile device.

You will also notice that most positions advertised in the MyCareer section of the Chronicle will have a QR code that can be scanned from a mobile phone and the user will be taken directly to the role that they are interested in.

Behind the scenes Abbertons Talent Resourcers and Partners  are utilising patent pending technologies to speed up the process of creating vacancies and identifying candidates who may fit with them.

Business Manager Scott Burton points out however that  “While we are investing heavily in technology, one of our strengths in the market has been our personalised approach with regard to both job seekers and clients.  The phone lines and front door are still wide open for those who choose to communicate personally with us.”

The Abbertons Facebook site now also includes a job board so that die-hard Facebook users can share and apply for positions without leaving Facebook.   Candidates that have been recruited by Abbertons on behalf of their clients are featured in a Facebook photo album which is also shared on the front page of the company website.
