THE POSITIONOur client offers a fully equipped workshop for a large range of vehicles, log book servicing, brake repairs, and other services. THE DUTIES

Working on both petrol and diesel engines and adhering to the quality and safety standards, the responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Examination of vehicles and assessing the extent of work
  • Determine timeframes required
  • Complete preventive maintenance
  • Engine repairs
  • Conduct test drives
  • Maintain vehicle records and log books
  • Keep shop equipment functioning at optimal performance

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Cert III Automotive Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated prior experience in a similar role
  • Vehicle diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Suspension experience
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent time management and commitment to meet deadlines
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain safe work practices and environment
  • Current Open manual driver's licence
  • Cert III Automotive Electrical Technology and experience would be advantageous
  • Air conditioning licence and experience is desirable
