YOUR NEW COMPANYLocated in the southern part of the Gold Coast region and established for over 30 years, our Client is a multi-award winning, family-owned and operated Australian construction company, specialising in roll formed construction panels with wide-span capabilities for a range of industries including defence, agriculture, aviation, education, and recreation.YOUR NEW ROLEWorking in both autonomously and as part of a family friendly team, this position will see you take ownership of the role and be responsible for assisting, performing and managing all aspects of accounting, payroll and financial functions to support the company. Ideally you would be working five days per week from approximately 9:30am to 2:30pm, however, our client is happy to negotiate your part-time hours on a flexible arrangement that is in line with both the company and successful candidate’s needs.   • Preparing Payroll, BAS, GST, FBT, PAYG, Payroll Tax and Superannuation
  • Budgeting and cash flow forecasting
  • Financial Reporting
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Invoicing
  • Bank and credit card reconciliation
  • Manage internal and external audits
  • Prepare monthly management reports
  • Asset management
  • Develop, maintain and analyse budgets
  • Assisting with WHS and general administration duties

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a similar role desirable
  • Experience with Reckon or similar accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of financial reporting systems
  • Ability to work to and meet deadlines
  • Previous experience in financial reporting
  • Highly organised and capable of working independently
  • Professional presentation
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Flexible, can-do approach
