They specialise in roll form construction panels with wide-span capabilities utilised within the agriculture, aviation, defence, education and sports and recreation industries.ABOUT THE ROLEThe Rollform Machine Operator is responsible for all activities associated with the use, maintenance, transportation and well-being of the company’s rollforming machine. You will undertake an intense in-house training program on the equipment. Once completed, this role will see you travelling to various construction sites throughout Australia and New Zealand, where for several weeks at a time, you will be responsible for all activities associated with the use, maintenance and security of the equipment.DUTIESEnsure daily production meets the project scheduleProduce product within QA specificationsProvide a daily report on machine performance and coil steel usage to the Site SupervisorProvide a full report on the roll form machine status to the Engineering Manager at the completion of each projectCorrect operation of the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)Direct onsite crane operator and roll form team of up to 15General construction tasks as directed by the Project Manager and/or Site SupervisorFull maintenance and repair of equipment between projects SKILLS & EXPERIENCETrade qualification, i.e. mechanical, fitter and turner, boilermaker or hydraulicsPLC experienceElectronics and Mechanical aptitudePrior roll form operation and working with coil steel preferredCurrent open Driver's licenceConstruction Industry White cardSite construction experience with crane knowledge – highly advantageousRoofing knowledge desiredPossess a current Construction Industry White CardOther tickets such as Dogman, Rigger, Confined Spaces, EWP, Working at Heights and Forklift are advantageous THE CULTUREOur client places strong emphasis on providing a supportive environment for its staff and prides itself on its family values, work ethic, integrity and honesty. ABOUT THE ROLE

The Rollform Machine Operator is responsible for all activities associated with the use, maintenance, transportation and well-being of the company’s rollforming machine. DUTIES

  • Ensure daily production meets the project schedule
  • Produce product within QA specifications
  • Provide a daily report on machine performance and coil steel usage to the Site Supervisor
  • Provide a full report on the roll form machine status to the Engineering Manager at the completion of each project
  • Correct operation of the PLC (Programmable Logic Controller)
  • Direct onsite crane operator and roll form team of up to 15
  • General construction tasks as directed by the Project Manager and/or Site Supervisor
  • Full maintenance and repair of equipment between projects

 

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Trade qualification, i.e. mechanical, fitter and turner, boilermaker or hydraulics
  • PLC experience
  • Electronics and Mechanical aptitude
  • Prior roll form operation and working with coil steel preferred
  • Current open Driver's licence
  • Construction Industry White card
  • Site construction experience with crane knowledge – highly advantageous
  • Roofing knowledge desired
  • Possess a current Construction Industry White Card
  • Other tickets such as Dogman, Rigger, Confined Spaces, EWP, Working at Heights and Forklift are advantageous
