Due to a vacancy within one of their teams they are looking to recruit a full time Senior Accountant who is a Business Service specialist.YOUR NEW ROLEWorking as a valued senior member of the accounting team, this position will see you take ownership of the role and be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients under the direction of your Manager, effectively managing workflow, producing a high standard of work, and meeting productivity and client budgets. Bringing your enthusiasm, commitment and excellent service, you will be responsible for providing value-added service to clients, and planning, delegation and reviewing work to a level suitable for director review. YOUR DUTIES

  • Preparing management reports, financial statements, tax returns and BAS for individual, partnership, company and trust clients
  • Advising clients of effective tax structures, and the development and implementation of effective tax minimisation strategies
  • Providing day to day business and taxation advice
  • Preparing budgets and forecasts and advising clients on cashflow management
  • Liaising with various statutory authorities on behalf of clients
  • Providing feedback and guidance to junior staff members
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3 to 5 years previous Business Service experience in a Public Practice role
  • Experience with Xero, MYOB, Reckon and Phoenix accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Current knowledge of taxation law
  • CA or CPA qualified or currently completing
  • Strong time-management skills, highly organised and capable of working independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Possess a professional and positive attitude
